Can you use a pull-out or pull-down kitchen faucet for a Roman Tub?

I was looking at Roman Tub faucets and like the idea of having a hand shower. My tub only have 3 holes. Would a kitchen faucet with a pull-out or pull-down work? Some kitchen faucets are really very pretty and the price is much less. Plus I would not have to worry about installing any diverters. I’ve never heard of anyone doing this but just an idea to help me save some cash. Would this work???

Does anyone know about the Peerless Kitchen faucets. I need to buy a new one. I?

I rent and my landlord won’t replace my drippy very loose kitchen faucet. They think because they haven’t raised my rent in 7 yrs that they don’t have to fix anything. So, I took it upon myself to get someone to install it. I don’t know what he will charge as of yet, but the faucet is three holes, 8" something, single handle with pull out spout previously, 9, now .99 at Tuesday Morning on-line. I just don’t know about the brand Peerless.

What happened to my kitchen sink Aerator?

I took off the aerator and cleaned it and i did it just like it was done in a how to video on pbs but when i put the Aerator back on the faucet and turn on the water the water just sprays everywhere, when i turn the water on very low its almost a normal stream but still sprays a little, when i turn the water on maximum it just sprays water all over the sink. Its like for some reason now there is way to much air coming through the faucet and its making the water go everywhere. How do i fix this? I took out the aerator because it was really dirty and i had lost pressure but now theres just way to much pressure. I can literally feel the air in the sink when i turn on the faucet, kind of like standing near a waterfall.
I put in the screen piece in which has the screen, a bunch of holes at the top and a white stick that goes up into the faucet and then i put the washer on and screwed it in, thats the only pieces that were on it, so i can’t be missing anything.

Big ROACH in my apartment!!!!?

last night there was a big roach (1.5 inches approximatly) in my bathroom at the bottom of my toilet. I have found one other one like it once before in my kitchen on the floor and it was like 7 or 8 months ago. I would like to know how they are getting into my 2nd floor apartment, we even have pest control come out and spray the whole building. Can I do something to make sure they dont ever come back??? I am very afraid of them and am considering moving because of it…. I would take a million small roaches over one big one…..I would also like to know how are they getting in?? This is a VERY clean brick building and cement walls and floors and there are no cracks or holes in the building or walls and I cant figure out where they come from… I can only think that its from the faucets or drains…. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
…We never have anyone over and this is no baby roach and there are no signs of any other roaches…. Just those two…not even droppings!!!
And by the way I live in North East Kansas….

Sprinkler heads not popping up?

Here’s a detailed plan of how I tried to make my sprinkler heads pop up. See if you notice anything I ‘missed’:
I turned on the main valve in the basement. Then I went and turned all stations on so I could see if any heads popped up. I then went to the irrigation valve box, and turned all the valves on; so that they loosened up the more I turned them.
On the water thing (no idea what it is called) above and to the right of the faucet for my hose, there are two handles. One on the right, and one on the left. I turned the one on the left so it was open, and water began to gush out of two holes beside it. I put the caps on the holes, and it then began to just leak.
I then began to notice that the sprinkler heads were getting water (as it was leaking out between the cap and the nozzle. But none popped. I think it might be because there’s not enough pressure.
From here on out I experimented, trying every variable I could think of. I turned the right handle, and water began to spray even more, even with the caps on. Nothing really changed with the sprinkler heads, if it even did. If it did, it might have just stopped leaking water, or continued a little more/leaked less.

Grabbing a knife from the kitchen, I ‘forced’ a sprinkler head up to see if water was spraying out of the nozzle, and it was. However, there was so much pressure pulling it down that whenever I let it go, it shot back into the earth. I’m not sure why pressure is "lowering" the heads, when it should be "elevating" the heads.

After opening and closing valves and handles, and running back and forth for twenty minutes, I finally gave up. I’m thinking of just calling a pro, but don’t want to spend a great deal on labor. Can anyone, ‘anyone’ please tell me where I’m going wrong here? Thanks.

Kitchen sink valve continually clogging?

We moved into a 40+ year old house and did some remodeling on our own. In the kitchen we installed a new countertop, sink and faucet. The faucet water pressure starts out OK and then dwindles to a trickle after some use. After a bunch of trial and error I figured out that the problem was in the valve of the faucet (forgive me if my terminology is off). It’s a 3-hole Moen faucet (one hole has the handle, one the faucet spout and the third is the sprayer).

Inside the faucet is a brass valve with three holes. One leads to the faucet, one connects to a hose for the sprayer and one is the inlet for the water from the handle. When I disconnect this valve, the water pressure from the inlet hose is very strong, so I know the problem is in the valve itself. I basically take the valve outside and spray it through with a garden hose sprayer. That seems to solve the problem as I then reassemble the faucet and water flows well. But, again, after some use (1-3 weeks?) it eventually slows to a trickle and I have to repeat the process.

I know that the underlying cause is our galvanized piping. We get a lot of the rusty granulated stuff in our aerators and I’m almost sure that is what is gumming up the valve.

OK, given all of that information, is there anything I can do to avoid taking the faucet apart every couple of weeks other than re-piping the whole house? Is there a better faucet/valve that would be more resistant to this clogging?

Any advice appreciated.

Buy just the deck plate for kitchen faucet?

I replaced my kitchen faucet, everything is good, except the chrome finish deck plate, and plastic putty plate. It’s coming loose and water is getting underneath. The sink has the three holes drilled, and the deck plate covers those (the new sink and the old was a single handle pull out). The old deck plate had bolts and screwed in to the two outer holes, like a dummy I threw it away. The new deck plate just uses plumbers putty, no matter how much I use it still comes loose. Now I would like to find just the deck plate for my sink that I can bolt down. Any one know where is a place that sells those separately?

Or is there a solution for no deck plate? How would I cover the holes?

Supply lines under kitchen sink are too small for new kitchen faucet. How do I fix it?

Our kitchen faucet inexplicably got holes in it and water was leaking or spraying out. I got to the end of the steps when I had to connect the supply lines and the supply lines were too small. Can I fix this with rubber connector hoses and ring fasteners? If not, what would you recommend?

I am remodeling my kitchen. I would like input about the Pull out or Pull down kitchen faucets. Pros/Cons?

We are replacing counter with granite and installing a new, under the counder stainless steel sink. I want to limit the number of holes we have drilled in the stone. I am thinking about a pull out or pull down spray faucet, but want feedback on any problems these may pose.
